Just Steps to Beautiful Paniau Beach
Puako is a unique and special vacation hideaway. It is the only oceanfront residential community on the entire Kohala Coast, featuring multimillion dollar modern homes, as well as 50’s and 60's beach cottages. Paniau Surf House is an older well kept beach home across the street from Paniau Park, the only easy access surf and snorkel beach in Puako. A beachside trail starting across the street provides an easy hike to sandy beaches. Watch year round Sunsets across the street.
About Paniau Surf House
The House
The house has 2 bedrooms with a bonus enclosed room for sleeping with bed (3 large beds total). Sleeps up to 6 guests. There is a spacious living, kitchen and dining area. In addition, there is breezy front porch with patio furniture and ample outdoor yard space on the sides and back of the house to enjoy the sun and ocean breeze. We have fully stocked the home with beach amenities including snorkel gear, beach chairs and more.
The Location
The Paniau Surf House is located directly across from Paniau park which has incredible snorkeling in the summer and surfing in the winter. There is also a path that you can walk extending from the park all the way to Mauna Lani resort area, with many beautiful spots for swimming, sunbathing and snorkeling along the way. The Puako General Store is a few minutes away and sells basic groceries and take out foods. The house is a 40 minute drive from the airport. Renting a car is highly recommended.
Nearby Attractions
There are numerous beautiful beaches nearby including Hapuna Beach, Mauna Kea Beach and Kiholo Bay. There are many activities you can partake in such as surfing, stand up paddle boarding, snorkeling, scuba diving, hiking and more. The Hilton Waikoloa and Mauna Lani resort areas are both close by as well and offer a variety of restaurants and shopping areas.
